Group Day Packages 2017

The National Liberation Museum has a number of special group day packages in 2017.

The Basic Package is suitable for those who like coffee and cake, or another beverage during a visit to the museum. This Basic package includes an introduction and film and a visit to our museum’s permanent and temporary exhibitions, plus a taste of Swedish white bread. A museum guide is not included.

It is possible to add other modules to the basic day package:
- Liberation Museum plus Battlefield Tour and Vineyard: discover the beautiful surroundings of Groesbeek during a bus excursion in the company of an expert guide visiting the spectacular historical sights and landing areas of Operation Market Garden. Afterwards a visit to Vineyard the Plack/Vineyard de Colonjes where you will have the opportunity to enjoy a glass of delicious organic local wine with French bread (we can also arrange this package without the vineyard visit).

- Liberation Museum and town walk Kranenburg: enjoy the beautiful German town of Kranenburg via a town walk with a guide. Walk through the small winding streets of the historical walled centre of this charming German town and discover the history of among others the Mill Tower, the town walls and the pilgrimage church of St. Peter and Paul.

- Liberation Museum and Sun-energy train: visit the Liberation Museum and tour through the wonderful landscape of the Ooijpolder on the sun-energy train and enjoy the breathtaking views.

- Liberation Museum and Draisine: cycle on the old railway-line through the most beautiful border area of the Netherlands and Germany. From Cleves or Kranenburg in Germany to Groesbeek in the Netherlands, or vice versa.

- Liberation Museum, Reichswald and Cleves (Germany): visit the Liberation Museum and discover the beautiful countryside of the Reichswald and the town of Cleves in Germany with your own bus and local guide.

- Liberation Museum and LiberationTour: a tour organized by the LiberationTour with an expert guide who is also your driver. Visit the special locations of Operation Market Garden, the frontline, and the Rhineland Offensive. And immerse yourself in the past!

- Liberation Museum plus Tasting WWII: discover what was on the dinner table during WWII. The tasting consists of a presentation of historical images and a tasting of four cold snacks and a drink at the museum. These dishes are derived from cookbooks and other sources from 1940-1945 and vary from so-called ‘hamster recipes’ to inventive ‘wildcrafted’ snacks.

For more information about these packages (prices, lunches, terms and packages, etc.) see ‘Group Day Packages’ on our website.
