School visit programme

Film

A visit to the museum starts with an introductory film in our cinema. Depending on the age and level of the students you can choose from the following options:
-The short life of Anne Frank
Fragments from her diary sketch out the life of Anne Frank before and while she was in hiding.
Age: from 10 years onwards
Duration: approx. 25 minutes
-Operation Market Garden
Original back & white film footage from the 1940's gives a picture of Operation Market Garden and the liberation of the Nijmegen region.
Age: from 12 years onwards
Duration: approx 15 minutes

Museum

After the film, students go through the museum on their own based on a list of tasks to be completed. They are accompanied by a coach.
You can download the assignments for the museum here: English assignments
Instead of tasks, you can also opt for a tour.

Remembrance Dome

Every visit to the museum is rounded off by a visit to the Remembrance Dome with the Roll of Honor. Students are given the opportunity to write a wish or a thought and hang it on the Tree of Freedom.

Guides

All school visits are escorted by a museum coach. He or she takes care of the reception, gives an introduction and a closing session, shows the film and can help answer students’ questions.
