‘Peace and Freedom’ liberation concert

The Vivace Millingen choir, the Fanfare St. Cecilia saxophone ensemble and the National Liberation Museum 1944-1945 will hold a Liberation Concert in the Protestant Church in Groesbeek on Saturday 29 April 2017 at 7:30 pm.

The theme will be ‘Peace and Freedom’.

On this night we will celebrate our freedom through music. Vivace and the St. Cecilia saxophone ensemble will perform a broad repertoire of various songs from multiple countries in different languages, but with one overarching message of peace and freedom. Or the desire for freedom in times of oppression. Both groups will first perform separately and will then conclude the night with a beautiful joint performance. It is not the first collaboration between the Vivace Millingen choir and the Fanfare St. Cecilia saxophone ensemble. They have performed together several times in the past.

The Vivace choral society gave a concert within the ‘Peace and Freedom’ theme before in 2015. At the invitation of the Liberation Museum the choir will perform these songs again on 29 April 2017. Presale tickets are €5 and tickets at the door cost €7.50. The tickets are available at the Liberation Museum in Groesbeek (only at the ticket office), at ‘Bloemen uit Millingen’ and at the Primera branch in Millingen aan de Rijn.
